Christmas 2009... this is how we do it.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! And I hope everyone got our Christmas card... If you didn't get one, please let me know. It means I didn't have your address, so please email me with it! Here are some outtakes of our picture we took. It was absolutely ridiculous trying to get a picture where we are all looking at the camera, let alone smiling. Enjoy looking at these Ramey bloopers...

Our Christmas was wonderful!!! It started out with a blizzard on the 23rd that kept us shut in until Christmas day... which was actually pretty nice! On Christmas Eve the boys got to open one present each (new jammers, same every year, but they haven't caught on yet) and they were exploding with excitement, as you can see:

Immediately following the excitement came a bit of reality, as noted here:

We told them to calm down and not get too crazy or someone would get hurt... and what do you know? A big bonk on the edge of the coffee table... but he got over it quickly... the band aid is such a miracle worker:

The next morning was Christmas and it was so relaxing. we just got to hang out and open presents and just be together. It was such a good time.

Around 3:00 in the afternoon we got in the truck, said a prayer, and attempted to drive up the driveway 3 times before actually making it, and got to town about an hour later (a drive that normally takes 30 minutes). We ate some fantastic food and took some family pictures... here are a few, including one of the 5 generations: Granpa Howard, Papaw Wendell, Traci, Johnny, and Eli.

I think there were about 30 people celebrating all together including our friends. And there were six children all ages 3 and under with 2 more due in a couple of months. So it was alot of chaotic fun! Everyone was running wild and none of the babies could figure out why it was ok to be out of control on this day and not on any other day! Kind of funny... but probably confusing to the poor kiddos. ah well, it was worth it :)

The snow from the blizzard stayed (for about 2 weeks, it never got above freezing) so for the next few days we got in plenty of snowball fights, snow football games, and 4wheeler sledding. Eli and Judah also had their first homemade hot chocolate to warm up after all of the outdoor activities... I think they liked that more than any of their presents (mental note for next year).

I guess I better wrap up this entirely too long post. I'll try to keep up with this blog a little better this year, but thats definitely not one of my resolutions, so don't hold me to that :) BLESSINGS!

Ladies and gentlemen, Judah Ramey...

Can you guess what movie he just recently watched??? (hint: the hills were definitely alive)

And here is his Christmas favorite, note his level of enthusiasm :)

New haircuts...

Here are some shots of the boys new haircuts... exactly what they requested (kinda)... They both wanted to look like daddy so Eli was first... and then Judah chickened out. He couldnt get over the way Eli looked. So we just trimmed him up. Is it bad that we gave him a mohawk simply because he looked so funny with it? Wait, don't answer that.

...He's Alive...

He's a real person...

Here Comes Winter...

Well, winter is definitely here, which means there will be lots of playdough making in the house since outside is no longer an option, at least not for longs periods of time anyway. Here are some shots of the older boys all engrossed in it. They love this stuff! But man-o-man, I am finding it EVERYWHERE. I think it just keeps multiplying...

If anyone has any other fantastic indoor activities for crazy children please, I'm begging you, let me know. I have just started with "school" so they are writing thier names and learning to read, but that all lasts about 10 min before they are ready to move onto the next project. I'm runnin' low on ideas... any help is much appreciated... really... anything... anything at all :)

Cowboys...

Well, halloween was a hit. We just took them to the mall, we walked around for about 13 minutes and got a small amount of candy (that they will NEVER finish... I had to throw out last years from the candy jar to put this years in it... I'm one of those mean moms who doesn't give them too much sugar. For no reason other than that it makes them crazy. They think cottage cheese and applesauce is dessert). Here are a few pictures...
Here's the finished pumpkin project...It's BLUE from Blue's Clue's!
Our little gator. (Thanks to Megan for sending this uniform back before Eli was born, even though it went against every bone in your body).
Yeehaw cowboys! After we got about half way through the mall Eli started saying, "trick or treat, are we done now?" to all of the people handing the candy out. It started looking like we were forcing him to get the candy just for us, which is not true at all... well, at least not entirely true... what 3 and 2 year old needs snickers?!?!

Pumpkin Patch...

Here are some pictures from the Pumkpin patch... it was so fun. And actually REALLY cold. But thats not really important enough to write about... :)
Playing in the leaves... just asking for crazy drippy noses and runny eyes, but it's just too much fun not to do. You have to make some sacrifices, ya know?
Coloring thier pumpkins... with washable markers so it just wipes right off and they can start all over again from scratch. (safer than a knife I thought)Funny faces with daddy...
A family picture, minus Canaan who was screaming his head off from hunger pangs... don't worry, Aunt Torri was feeding him his bottle.
And we'll be swangin'...
And here is one of me and Canaan. Proof he really was there with us!!!

Thats all... no time for full details... trying to get some work done :)
